Friday evening lecture:

Location: St Laurence Anglican Church

Date: Friday, April 28th 7pm - 9pm

This lecture will explore the vital role of emotion in the journey of individuation – focusing on the instinctual survival emotions.   The lecture begins with a brief synopsis of the assigned role and importance of emotion throughout history,

Judith will then look at Carl Jung’s research and writing on emotion, including the association experiment, complex theory and archetypal energy.  The remainder of the lecture will focus on the six survival emotions – fear, anger, disgust, surprise, sorrow and joy, describing each in more detail and their role in consciously becoming oneself.

Saturday workshop:

Location: St Laurence Anglican Church

Date: Saturday, April 29th 10am - 3pm

This workshop will engage participants in two fairy tale enactments that circumambulate the connection between strong emotion and transformation.   There will be time for discussion and integration of the enactment.  Participants must have attended the Friday evening lecture in order to participate in the workshop.

We would like to ask those attending the workshop to bring a glue stick and scissors for themselves, as well as any odds or ends such as string, yarn, sticks, beads, feathers or other art materials they would like to share with the group. Other materials such as paper, pens, chalks etc will be provided by the society.

Please note, tickets purchased here are for the lecture and workshop. There are only 15 spaces available for the workshop. Those who wish to attend the workshop must also attend the lecture the night before. If you wish to attend the lecture only, you can purchase tickets here
