"Naturally, the creative impulse is forever the maker of personality and uses that individual form, that distinction. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that, in the process of individuation, everybody should become aware of his creative instinct, no matter how small it is." --Carl Jung, Zarathustra Seminar, pg. 667.

This workshop will focus on the artistic aspects of the creative process. We will look at various psychological phases that often come up in creation. The discussion will also include the particularities of working with imagination, such as it’s volatility, pitfalls and sparks of brilliance. This workshop will allow us time and space to nourish the unique and sacred fire within each of us and by doing this, allow us to be closer and more involved with our creative instincts.

David Pressault began his career as a dancer in 1987 and started creating his own choreographic work five years later. In 2005, David retired from the stage as a dancer and began a Masters in dance at UQAM. During this transitional period, he also started the training program in Analytical Psychology at the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts (OAJA). He now practices as a Jungian Analyst in Montreal. He is still involved in the dance milieu as a choreographer, mentor and consultant.
